because it feels nice
to make a thing
instead of taking a thing
I know
we need things
to live
We’re needy creatures
We’re resource intensive
maybe by design
That’s how we turned out, anyway
I don’t know
if there’s any getting around it
So that’s why
I like to try
to put things
into the world
It’s how I try
to make up for
the taking
